Introduction to the Fisheries Act
The Fisheries Act is Canada’s most important statute to prevent water pollution and to protect and preserve Canada’s fisheries resource. This self-paced course will examine key aspects of the Fisheries Act; specifically, provisions that fall under the responsibility of Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), as well as the related enforcement process. *Training targeted to Employees.

Mandatory Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training for Committees Members and Representatives
As per the Canada Labour Code Part II and ECCC’s learning policy, this course is mandatory for all levels of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee members (workplace, regional and national) and representatives, in addition, it is strongly recommended for committee secretaries. This training must be completed without delay, no longer than 90 days following appointment for new members or representatives and, refresher training is mandatory for committee members and representatives every two (2) years. This course is designed to make members/representatives aware of their responsibilities under the Code and provide the skills necessary to ensure that they may effectively carry out these responsibilities. Throughout this course, the learner will understand as a committee member or representative: the legislative and policy context; aware of their roles and responsibilities as well as operations; a review of the rights and duties of employees, employers and committee members or representatives; understand the internal complaint resolution process, psychological health and safety in the workplace; and hazard prevention.

Occupational Health and Safety Employee Training
This course is mandatory for all employees at ECCC (including students and casuals) who are not supervisors, managers or executives. It provides information on occupational health and safety rights, roles, and responsibilities under the Canada Labour Code, Part II. *Training targeted to Employees.

Occupational Health and Safety Training for Managers and Supervisors – Part 2
This mandatory workshop is for managers and supervisors who have completed Mandatory OHS Training for Managers and Supervisors – Part 1. The workshop will provide practical exercises to strengthen the learned concepts and must be attended within three months after completing the online course. *Training targeted to Managers and Supervisors and Executives.
