Description

The Lockdown and Shelter-In-Place training, a training led by the Security Training and Awareness Team (STAT) of the Departmental Security and Emergency Management Division (DSEMD). The purpose of this training is to examine the roles, responsibilities, and procedures in the event of a Lockdown or a Shelter-In-Place activation. Please note this is only a one-hour training course and it is stress-free (You will not be marked).

The objectives are as follows

1. Examine the communication procedures in place when a Lockdown or Shelter-in-Place is activated.
2. Examine individuals’ roles and responsibilities in the event a Lockdown or Shelter-in-Place is activated.
3. Test the procedures in place to safely respond to a Lockdown or Shelter-in-Place.
4. Examine the training and awareness program/products regarding Lockdown or Shelter-in-Place procedures within the organization such as Emergency Response Guide for Employees and the mandatory ECCC Emergency Preparedness course.
