Canadian Environmental Protection Act 101
Welcome to Environment and Climate Change Canada’s introductory-level training on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, or CEPA 101 training for short. This course is designed for those with little or no experience on CEPA. The training provides an overview of the Act, how it is applied and how it fits into the larger environmental protection context. *Training targeted to Employees.

Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) Analyst Course
This training is designed to provide CEPA Analysts with a comprehensive understanding of their authority and responsibilities under the Act. Participants will explore the specific provisions that govern their powers and limitations, learn about enforcement activities within the Enforcement Branch, and understand how their role aligns with broader enforcement objectives. Course Objectives: By the end of this training, participants will be able to: 1. Describe the role and responsibilities of a CEPA Analyst 2. Understand and integrate the Certificate of Analyst in their work 3. Understand proper evidence handling procedures 4. Identify the scope and limitations of their enforcement powers 5. Recognize key enforcement activities and how to support them effectively 6.
